Come and learn about the art of Tui Raumata - Maori tapestry with local artist, Lovey Elkington. You will be given a history of how and why Tui Raumata came to be an important part of te ao Maori, particularly in the realm of kapa haka. We will look at patterns, colours and their meanings and you will design and create your own small piece over the course of the evening. This is perfect for beginners and anyone interested in this artform.
