Book Talk: Mohua Gold by Mike Johnston
Sunday 19 April 1.30pm - 2.30pm, ELMA TURNER LIBRARY
Free. No bookings required.
Join us as Mike Johnson discusses his latest book, Mohua Gold. This new release explores the gold rush era from 1864 to 1880, focusing on the Aorere and Takaka valleys. This volume continues from his earlier work, Aorere Gold (covering 1856–1863), which is available in libraries. He will focus on how geology influenced where the gold was to be found in payable amounts and some historical aspects of those discoveries. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, courtesy of Page & Blackmore.
