A Talk by Rosalina McCarthy - The Life and Work of Photographer Rosaline Frank (1864 - 1954)

The talk covers Rosaline’s early family life and standing as a professional photographer. Conflict between the early Nelson Council and the Tyree Studio and its subsidiaries will be discussed, along with the legacy of Rosaline Frank and the Tyree Collection. Also highlighted is the UNESCO Award and the role of early photographers as social historians.
